Reminiscing

Sunday, March 30, 2008

So, Tanner and I were reminiscing today about good times and warmer weather. We love this honeymoon montage that our videographer, Eric Richards, made for us so I wanted to share it with whoever wants to watch : ) We love Maui!!!

transportation

So, last night a bunch of us decided to go see 21. Which was great, yet not the topic of my post. We all arrived at different times, in different vehicles. Tanner and I got there first and had to save like 87 seats for peeps. Then Jimmy Bohm arrived, he told us he drove his golf cart down from his house and parked it outside on the grass...which is clearly visible from every angle (the mall, 2nd East, the theater, etc.) I mean it was dang convenient for him so he didn't have to find a parking spot in the always full lot, but honestly. Well we all watched and freaking loved the movie and when we exited the theater and it was a sight to see...there was a cop car and mall security checking out the scene...it was hilarious. They harrassed Jimmy and would not let him drive his golf cart home because the cop "didn't want to end up talking on CNN when someone blows a stop sign." Our night came to a sudden halt so the boys could go to Jimmy's get his truck and load up the golf cart and haul it home. So, it wasn't so convenient after all but it was pretty comical. Here are some random/fun things that have happened lately...

Hotties squared. We went to an IMAX movie at Clarke Planetarium with the fam. Here is Courte & Ty looking outrageously attractive in the gift shop.

Tanner's brother Chris came to visit at the beginning of March. He was here for a snowmobiling trip with his financial advisors and to come see us. We had an awesome time and it was a pretty laidback, simple weekend filled with lots & lots of Guitar Hero!!! Chris had never played and we are fully responsible for his new addiction. The caption for Chris's photo is "look I am holding 10 Arby sauces in the palm of my hand."

Before & After
Last week I was late for work...I pulled out of my garage and suddenly I felt like I ran over a small creature. I'll be honest I was pretty scared to get out and see what I ran over. It was quite the fiasco! If you can imagine me in my business attire and heels trying to pry out this large tube from my wheel well. I thought I could pull forward to undo what happened all that did was cause it to get wedged up on the other side. So, finally I just gunned it out of my driveway and the pic on the right was what remained.

Snow Dogs!

Tuesday, January 29, 2008

So, here are our pups Baxter & Jack.
Baxter is almost 2 years and we have had Jack since last September. They are a hoot, we have so much fun with these crazy puplers. Baxter is such a smart dog...he knows about fifteen tricks and will do anything if you will play fetch with him. Jack knows a few tricks but is still learning. He learned to speak last week. Jack's main goal in life is to drive Baxter bonkers, he follows him everywhere and tries to do what he is doing. Read more...

The Vegas.

Tuesday, January 22, 2008

This weekend we went down to Las Vegas with Chris, Christy, Tyler, & Becca. I had never been to Vegas so I had no idea what to expect. It of course involved gambling, shows, and fun! This was one of Chris’s grandest ideas. I am so glad we got to get out of subzero Utah for a weekend of good times. I was brave and played Black Jack with the boys. We also played Roulette, Craps, and the Slots. We won some and we lost more! But it was still a lot of fun. Our goal was to win enough to get a Wii, unfortunately that didn't happen, bad luck I guess :) The weekend also involved some Cirque du Soleil which was even more amazing than words can describe. We went to Le Reve the first night and Zumanity the second night. We were astonished at their acrobatic skills and we loved every minute of it. Another fun yet educational experience was going to the Body Exhibit. Tanner and I had so much fun going through it...me especially because I had a commentator. Vegas was great! And even though we didn't come back millionaires we still had a blast! Read more...

What a day!

Saturday, January 12, 2008

Tanner and I got tickets to go down to see #3 Utah against #1 Georgia last night! So we decided to make a day of it. Tanner took off work and we drove down early ate at the OG, dropped off my wedding dress (finally!) to be cleaned and preserved, and then all the way down to Park City to go to the Reebok store specifically (we had some money there, in short). Well...it turns out to our demise that the Reebok store had gone out of business!!! We couldn't believe it! The long drive for nothing, nada, zilch! The rest of the night ended up making up for our disappointment though. We went to Red Rock in Park City then drove to the U for the meet. We loved it! Utah and Georgia were both amazing at every event. The best part about it was that Utah won. All in all we had a great night! It might seem ridiculous but I recommend verifying a store is still in business before you drive two hours to get there. Read more...

Poor Little Lamb

Tuesday, January 8, 2008

Our little Jack is a trooper! He went to the vet yesterday (he hates going in the car and he really hates the vet) they poked and prodded him. All in one day he was neutered, two of his incisors were removed, and he also got a microchip inserted. He was out of it all day long...he napped while Baxter tried to get him to get up and play. He is doing much better today. We can't make him sit still. Read more...

New Year's Eve 2007

Saturday, January 5, 2008

We celebrated New Year's Eve at Chris's house this year. We started the night off with a power outage, when guests starting arriving we were running on a generator. Even though the lights were out downstairs (where the darts, pool, ping-pong are) everyone seemed to have fun upstairs (where the drinks and food were). It was a fun night and great way to start the new year!
